The Studio

Soup Studios' new home is a purpose-built studio set within Cable Street's artistic community. Our main feature is our spacious, wood-floored live room which makes for a comfortable place to record any project from large live bands to small, intimate sessions.

Our control room is acoustically designed to provide an ideal mixing environment and houses our Soundtracs CM4400 analogue desk with it's famed British pre-amps and EQs. We can track straight to digital using Pro Tools, or record onto 2" tape using our Otari MTR 90 24 track tape machine.

We have built two echo chambers within the studio walls which provide unique reverbs for vocals, drums or anything you wish to bring to life. Along with our plate reverb and selection of analogue outboard gear, these can be dialled in to any recording through the mixing desk. If you wish to bring projects here to mix, this is ideal for giving digital recordings a more natural sound. Please see our music page for examples of the kind of work that we do.
